A fire broke out in the ground-floor flat of a five-storey building on Teberdar Street in Kocamustafapaşa Neighbourhood, Fatih. The Fire Deparment was called at 13:19 and fire crews from Kocamustafapaşa, Fatih and Zeytinburnu stations attended the incident. The firefighters, arriving at the scene soon, extinguished the blaze and rescued 19 people trapped on upper floors. Then they were taken to hospital by paramedics. While the fire resulted in damage to the dwelling, no one was dead.
