Within this scope, a training fire drill was conducted in Sarıyer Tunnel with the participation of 33 firefighters. This drill was the 8-hour applied part of a 16-hour “Response to Metro and Tunnel Incidents”  training course. According to the scenario, the Fire Department was called and fire crews from Sarıyer station attended the incident. The firefighters, arriving at the scene soon, responded to the fire with fire-responding robots. Ventilating vehicles discharged the smoke which accumulated in the tunnel. The people affected by smoke were examined by paramedics and taken to hospital. After the drill was successfully completed, the firefighters, paramedics and the IMM Traffic Directorate staff came together and made evaluations on the fire drill.
