A fire broke out on the first floor of a five-storey building on Küçük Asımbey Street in Aksaray Neighbourhood, Fatih. The Fire Department was called at 03:28 and fire crews from Fatih, Beyoğlu, Bakırköy and Kocamustafapaşa stations attended the incident. The firefighters, arriving at the scene soon, extinguished the blaze and rescued seven people trapped on upper floors. Then they were taken to hospital by paramedics. While the fire resulted in damage to the dwelling, no one was dead.
