A fire broke out in the vicinity of the toll booths on the access road to Samandıra in Akpınar Neighbourhood, Sancaktepe. The Fire Department was called at 03:47 and firefighters from Yakacık station attended the incident along with paramedics. The fire crew, arriving at the scene, extinguished the blaze and rescued a person stuck in the vehicle. While the fire resulted in damage to the vehicle, no one was dead.
